The Ventura County Office of Education is pleased to announce that Audrey Kao, a sophomore at Westlake High School, submitted the winning artwork that will represent the 2016 Ventura County Science Fair.
Audrey’s artwork features a pair of young students planting flags on a planet that spell out “STEAM,” an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics. Audrey’s drawing will be featured in posters, flyers and packets publicizing the event. The theme of the 2016 Science Fair is “Full STEAM Ahead.”
The winning artwork was selected from 60 entries submitted by students throughout Ventura County. This is the second year in a row that Audrey’s artwork was selected to represent the Ventura County Science Fair.
